I have been a baseball fan for as long as I can remember. I spent most of my summer days as a youth on the field playing with neighborhood friends until we could no longer see the ball because of darkness. My early memories include going to Cleveland Municipal Stadium in the late-80's with my dad and watching a terrible team that I thought was the greatest thing in the world. I loved watching Cory Snyder, Julio Franco and Joe Carter and was devastated when they were all traded away. The late-90's was a time in my life when baseball was at its peak. The Indians were good and I became a fan of the Chicago Cubs. It was right after the strike that my local cable company picked up WGN. Between the day games, ivy covered walls, Harry Caray/Steve Stone, and Sammy Sosa I became a quick fanatic. I kept with them from that moment on and make sure to go to a game every summer. I hope to virtually erase the curse that has been bestowed upon this great franchise.
